For these vibrant Spring 2013 pillows, West Elm was going for a Mexican inspired theme. The first idea we played with was a cacti print. As I was working on it, the results felt too expected so I started playing with birds and flowers, loosely inspired by a talavera plant pot from my childhood I stole from my mom’s house.
